Indoor Climbing
If climbing is something that you have always been interested in but are unsure where to start, then a gym can often be a more accessible and cost effective way to delve into the sport. Learning to climb in the gym can improve your physical fitness and strength meanwhile allowing you to build confidence moving through complicated terrain should you start to explore the mountains. Gaining the skills to safely belay and climb with a partner can open up your opportunities to climb and meet new people, and may even be a spring board to further outdoor adventures!

Indoor climbing is generally broken down into two forms, with or without ropes (bouldering). Bouldering initially developed to help people achieve their outdoor or roped climbing goals in an indoor setting but quickly developed into it's own a style of climbing.

Roped climbing tends to have longer, higher routes that require safety equipment like a rope and harness, testing the individuals endurance and head for heights!

Bouldering is defined by its lack of ropes, with shorter routes and crash matting underneath. As the routes are smaller, they are often physically and mentally more demanding then similar graded roped routes.
